Overview
The Board of Governors is seeking a passionate educationalist with a commitment to all-round excellence to lead Luckley House School, a unique independent day and boarding school, with a start date of September 2026. Luckley House is a thriving coeducational school in a rural location near Wokingham, Berkshire, educating around 375 pupils. The school offers a wide variety of academic, sporting and creative opportunities, with teaching tailored to the individual needs of each pupil. The Christian ethos permeates school life, providing opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection.
Responsibilities
* Lead on improvement in teaching and learning, personal development and skills, stability and structure.
* Work closely with the Board of Governors and the Executive Team to ensure successful outcomes in terms of academic attainment and emotional and social wellbeing, raised aspirations and greater social capital.
* Demonstrate financial and strategic acumen, leading key initiatives ratified by the Board and driving the School’s strategic development at a critical time in its history.
* Be responsible for every aspect of the School’s day-to-day operation and for its development and performance.
* Set the highest standards for staff and pupils and lead by example.
* Serve as an inspiring, forward-thinking leader who can win the confidence and trust of the whole school community and who is committed to excellence.

* A committed Christian and an inspiring, forward-thinking leader.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage the whole school community.
