This position sits within the Supply Chain Management function of a North Sea operator and is responsible for the contractual management and administration of a portfolio of capital project and decommissioning contracts. The role involves coordinating tendering and sourcing activities to meet business needs while ensuring compliance with company procedures and contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing tendering and sourcing activities, including preparation of RFP documentation, leading evaluations and negotiations, and securing internal approvals.
* Drafting, issuing and executing contracts using company templates.
* Overseeing post-award contract management from kick‑off to close‑out, ensuring compliance with company and joint venture requirements.
* Providing contractual advice, support and interpretation to stakeholders, engaging with legal and other SMEs as required.
* Supporting the management of contractor performance, KPIs, claims and disputes.
* Maintaining accurate contract and procurement records within SAP and other systems.
* Representing the supply chain function at internal tender board meetings.
* Building effective relationships with internal teams and external contractors to support project delivery and business objectives.
About You
* Experienced in UKCS contracting practices, with a solid understanding of contract law, terms and conditions.
* Skilled in managing the full contract lifecycle – from tendering through to post‑award administration.
* Background in supply chain management within the energy sector, ideally with exposure to both operator and contractor environments.
* Confident working in a fast‑paced setting with competing priorities.
* Strong communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders across technical, legal, finance and HES disciplines.
* Proficient user of SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
