Meraki Talent are partnering with a leading global organisation to appoint a Payroll Workstream Lead into a high-impact, highly visible role. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of global payroll processes, driving standardisation, efficiency, and operational excellence across multiple regions. The Role As the global process lead for Payroll, you will define the target operating model, design standardised processes, and ensure successful execution across operational sites. You will act as the subject matter expert, supporting system rollouts and ensuring consistent, robust payroll processes, controls, and reporting. You will also lead the planning and delivery of key initiatives, manage risks and interdependencies, and drive continuous improvement across the payroll function globally. Key Responsibilities

* Lead the design and implementation of a global payroll target operating model
* Define and standardise end-to-end payroll processes, controls, and KPIs across all operational sites
* Act as the subject matter expert for system rollouts, ensuring alignment to global payroll standards and best practices
* Identify and manage risks, interdependencies, and resource requirements, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and budgets
* Develop the payroll workstream roadmap, including initiatives such as global platform rollouts, benefits payrolling, and pay group rationalisation
* Analyse payroll operations to identify efficiencies and opportunities for improvement
* Lead change management and communication plans to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and governance in payroll operations

Experience required:

* Proven experience leading global payroll processes in a complex, international environment
* Strong expertise in payroll process design, standardisation, and governance
* Experience supporting global system or ERP rollouts
* Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
* Commercially minded, with a focus on operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
