đź› The role
You’ll join the Operations team, working closely with the Head of Manufacturing and external manufacturing partners to ensure products are made to specification, on time, and at scale.
📦 Key responsibilities
* Coordinate manufacturing activity with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs)
* Book production slots and manage purchase orders
* Monitor production schedules and finished goods delivery
* Manage raw material and packaging availability
* Oversee quality checks and ensure products meet specifications
* Maintain batch records and manufacturing documentation using ERP systems
* Act as the day‑to‑day contact for CMOs, resolving issues quickly
* Drive continuous improvement across cost, quality, and efficiency
* Support R&D with new product introductions and technical requirements
* Work with design and commercial teams on packaging, demand, and forecasting
🧠Skills & experience
Essential
* Degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline
* 5–10 years’ experience in manufacturing or operations
* Background in animal health, FMCG, or CPG
* Strong understanding of quality systems
* Comfortable in a fast‑paced, scaling environment
* Organised, proactive, and confident managing priorities
Must Have
* PhD in Chemistry or similar
* Experience working with CMOs
* Exposure to GMP or ISO environments
* ERP system experience
