The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team at Hurworth School. We are looking for a creative, adaptable, and reflective practitioner who uses the latest research to support all pupil groups.

Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE (4-9 / C-A* grade) - Essential
* NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent childcare-related qualification - Essential
Skills and Experience/Knowledge
* Recent work experience with children of relevant age in a teaching and learning environment - Essential
* Experience of intervention delivery and planning - Essential
* Understanding of principles of child development and learning processes - Essential
* Experience working with children with Education, Health Care Plans - Essential
* Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities, including the Teaching Assistant's role - Essential
Personal Attributes
* High level of personal effectiveness, including organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines - Essential
* Commitment to professional development and willingness to undertake training - Essential
* Ability and confidence to assist pupils with basic numeracy and literacy in line with learning strategies and the national curriculum - Essential
* Self-evaluation skills to identify learning needs and seek opportunities - Essential
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with diverse audiences - Essential
