About the Role
We're looking for a Cyber Security Threat Analyst to complement our team based from Faslane, Helensburgh. This role benefits from our 4xFlex working pattern, offering a 4-day working week Monday - Thursday and hybrid working with typically 2 days onsite and 2 days working from home.
As our Cyber Security Threat Analyst you will provide support to the Senior Cyber Security Analyst by performing Information Assurance monitoring on the customers classified network ensuring that these daily checks meet the customer requirements.
1. Monitoring SIEM alerts and security events to identify potential threat
2. Conducting initial triage, categorisation and analysis of security incidents
3. Escalating complex or high-severity issues to senior analysts
4. Supporting containment and remediation actions
5. Assisting with vulnerability scanning, compliance checks and remedial activity
6. Contributing to threat hunting, detection and improvements to system reporting dashboards
7. Participating in reporting, documentation, security audits and service reviews

Required skills, qualifications and experience
8. Demonstrable experience in a Cyber Security / Information Security Monitoring role
9. Network Logging and Monitoring using tools such as Manage Engine AD Audit or Splunk
10. Experience contributing to formal reports
11. Ability to engage with technical resources
12. Ability to explain technical information to leadership
13. Knowledge of network vulnerability risks
14. Experience of incident handling to minimise risk and restore normal IT operations
Desirable Skills
15. CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+ or similar Cyber Security certifications
