The Opportunity
This rapidly scaling HealthTech company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand their presence across NHS Trusts, Integrated Care Systems (ICS), Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and Local Authority Public Health teams. You'll be responsible for building and nurturing strategic relationships with public sector stakeholders while demonstrating how their solutions address key challenges like reducing waiting lists, improving preventative care, and enhancing population health management.
You'll represent the company at conferences, networking events, and client meetings throughout your region, helping to establish them as the partner of choice for preventative health technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive business development and sales activities across NHS Trusts, ICS, ICBs, and Local Authority Public Health organisations
* Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers within NHS and public health commissioning teams
* Develop compelling proposals that address specific challenges faced by public sector healthcare organisations
* Navigate complex NHS procurement processes and public health commissioning frameworks
* Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events, and stakeholder meetings
* Work with the implementation team to ensure smooth onboarding for new clients
* Contribute to developing repeatable sales processes and best practices
* Track market trends and competitor activity to inform go-to-market strategy
* Collaborate with marketing teams to convert leads and support demand generation
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:
* 3-5 years in healthcare technology sales with demonstrable success selling to NHS and/or public health organisations
* Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes and public health commissioning
* Experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and multi-faceted decision making
* Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
* Strategic thinker who can align technology solutions with healthcare outcomes
* Consultative sales approach with clear methodology
* Process-driven with collaborative spirit
* Clear sales achievements articulated on CV
* Degree educated or equivalent demonstrable qualification
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience:
* Preventative health background strongly preferred
* HealthTech/MedTech experience highly desirable
* Experience working across both NHS and Local Authority Public Health
* Understanding of population health management priorities
* Scale-up/start-up experience
* Comfortable wearing multiple hats in evolving environments
* Based in Midlands/Northwest (for event attendance and regional networking)
