The role
The Facilities Management (FM) team are looking to recruit an electrically qualified engineer to help support with the contract management and delivery of the outsourced FM services contract at Manchester Airport. Our FM provider delivers a diverse range of services across the airport campus including electrical services that include fixed wire testing, UPS units, heating ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) & fire and life safety systems.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced electrical engineer to manage and deliver this contract. Duties include ensuring electrical compliance and safety, reviewing and instructing proposed works, ensuring best value for money, proposing and managing small project works, reviewing and monitoring Safe Systems of Work, auditing our third party contractors, managing our insurance inspections and checking and reviewing maintenance and repair work and associated record keeping. Youll also need to deputise for other team members in periods of absence, most notably the Facilities Manager (Hard Services).
What will make you successful in this role
The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of working in industrial Hard Services, with an electrical bias, on a large commercial or industrial site, along with experience contract management and dealing with contractors and sub‑contractors. Youll also need a suitable Electrical qualification and good working knowledge of health and safety.
