The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with diverse needs—including Autism, ADHD, and Speech & Language difficulties—providing 1:1 or small group support both inside and outside the classroom. You will join a compassionate and expert team dedicated to creating an inclusive, structured, and empowering learning environment.
Your Responsibilities:

* Implement strategies recommended by therapists and teaching staff
* Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual needs

* Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure holistic care
* Promote independence, confidence, and engagement among learners
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (essential)
* A background in education, care, youth work, or psychology (desirable)
* Calm, empathetic, and patient with strong behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* A positive attitude and commitment to inclusive education
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Benefits include:
* Free Twinkl Ultimate subscription to support your work with tailored SEN resources
* Access to expert guidance and ongoing support from the Elevate team
* Opportunities for permanent placements or future training pathways
* A supportive, child-centered school community
Location: Based in a highly regarded SEN school in South Sheffield, accessible from Meersbrook, Woodseats, and Norton areas.
If you are driven by compassion and eager to help every child reach their potential, we would love to hear from you.
