Our Vegetation Management team has a fantastic opportunity for an Arborist in Carlisle.
Our role
As an Arborist, you will clear trees near overhead power lines and substations. Operating chainsaws and chippers, you'll work as part of a team to ensure safety and compliance with standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
* Liaise with customers to plan tree clearance programs;
* Represent ENWL when dealing with third parties;
* Coordinate with the Lead Cutter to perform tree clearance in line with BS3998 and G55/2 (where applicable);
* Engage in site-specific risk assessments and safe working practices;
* Ensure compliance with work packs;
* Complete paperwork such as timesheets, kit check sheets, and vehicle checklists.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in arboriculture, working outdoors in all weather conditions, at heights, and holding a full UK driving license (preferably B+E). Relevant certifications include NPTC 30, 31, 38, 39, and ideally 40, 41, NPTC UA 1, and a LANTRA/NPTC chipper certificate. Utility experience is a plus.
