Instrument and Controls Technician – Pembrokeshire – Up to £64k DOE, plus excellent benefits
Our client a well-established organisation is looking to recruit an Instrument and Controls Technician for their prestigious site based in Pembrokeshire. The Instrument and Controls Technician will play an integral part in providing expert technical support and perform advanced preventative maintenance, calibration, repairs and installations on various instrumentation systems.
Salary: Up to £64k DOE, plus excellent benefits.
Hours of work: Nine day fortnight with every other Friday off. 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am – 3:30pm on the working Friday.

Location: Pembrokeshire
Instrument and Controls Technician Responsibilities:
* Fault diagnosis, calibration and repair of a variety of instrumentation associated with the Oil/Gas industry (e.g. transmitters, online gas chromatography, moisture, infrared, oxygen and pH)
* Carry out advanced preventative maintenance, calibration, repairs and installations on various instrumentation systems.
* Permit to works.
* Maintain Site CMMS
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with company procedures and regulations
The successful candidate:
* Working knowledge of Functional Safety and Safety critical systems, DCS and Programmable Logic Control equipment.
* Experience of telecommunications and security systems.
* Completion of recognised Instrument & Controls (I&C) Craft Apprenticeship / HNC/HND qualified
* Proficient understanding of Functional Safety principles in accordance with IEC 61511, maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
* Qualified in Hazardous Area Inspections e.g. CompEx EX 01, 02, 03 and 04
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of planned maintenance, installation and repair activities
* Knowledge of Health, safety and Environmental requirements associated with a top tier COMAH installation
