Information
The Governing Body of Bretherton Endowed CE Primary School is looking for an excellent teacher for a mixed age year 2/3 class to cover for a teacher commencing maternity leave at the end of November. This post will be full time and may include subject leadership responsibility depending on candidate's experience.
We are looking for someone who:
* has experience of the primary curriculum
* has some knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
* can plan for skilled, experienced support staff
* can deliver exciting lessons where progress in learning is always evident in a mixed age class
* has good knowledge of assessment tracking systems and expectations related to these
* can contribute whole heartedly to the life of the school
* will support and respect our Christian ethos
* has high expectations of behaviour and effort but will also nurture and respect our children

Contract details
This post is suitable for an experienced teacher and may be suitable for ECT with suitable experience of mixed age planning. The post will commence 3rd November 2025 and will be for a period of approximately 9 months.

Essential Experience
* Evidence of strong teaching in a primary school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1
* Adapting teaching to assist pupils with a range of abilities
* Experience of assessment, tracking and target setting
* Successful deployment of teaching assistants or other adults in the classroom to support learning
Desirable Experience
* Subject leadership experience
