Seeking a talented Product Procurement Engineer to join the Industrial Power Systems Division in Peterlee is responsible for managing the development and quality assurance of parts throughout their lifecycle, including new product introductions, continuous improvements, and sourcing changes. This role involves close collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of components that meet quality and cost targets. Key duties include overseeing Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), implementing supply strategies, applying lessons learned from quality issues across the supply base, and driving cost-effective design improvements through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE).
Manage part development and quality feedback for NPI (New Product Introduction), CPI (Continuous Product Improvement), and NSI (New Source Introduction).
Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and cost management from concept to PPAP.
Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) through cost modelling and supplier collaboration.
