Potens’ SEN Education for children and young people is growing! Due to continued success, we have opened a new school site in Dorchester and we are looking for a School Administrator to lead our Front of House and main school office functions.
Arbour House School is a small, independent school for young people aged 6-18 with complex social and communication difficulties, particularly autism. We have a Lower School site in Weymouth and an Upper School site in Dorchester and are registered for 60 pupils. We provide a bespoke curriculum with a particular focus on developing independent living skills and real-life learning. We aim to support our pupils to achieve to their full potential, contribute to their communities, gain meaningful employment, or progress to further education.

What you’ll be doing:
11. Providing effective and efficient administrative support to the school office.
12. Assisting with a range of support and development functions across the schools.
13. Providing a welcoming and efficient ‘Front of House’ role for the school.
14. Provide an administrative support function for staff at the school and act as Personal Assistant where needed to the school’s Senior Leadership Team.
15. Administration for specific development work incl completing and updating work planners, diaries, and calendars.
16. Minute taking for a variety of meetings.
17. Administration and electronic communication and filing.
18. Supporting internal governance functions.

22. You will prioritise tasks, and manage your own workload, providing support for your colleagues where required.
Who you are:
23. Have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft office package.
24. Able to self-direct and prioritise workload according to shifting demands.
25. Significant experience in administration tasks.
