Overview
Occupational Health Technician required to join the OH Screening Team within PAM Occupational Health Solutions, supporting private/public sector clients. Location coverage includes London and surrounding areas with willingness to travel UK-wide. A car allowance is provided.
You will contribute to the Occupational Health Screening division’s success, working closely with regional colleagues, other clinicians, and client services teams to ensure the delivery of Safe, Effective, and Quality Occupational Health services. The role covers support and delivery of Occupational Health Services on contracts ranging from construction to the food industry, delivering high-quality health screening to client employees and strengthening business quality through effective relationship building with employees and managers.
Travel is a key part of the role as it is peripatetic and a willingness to travel UK-wide is needed to attend training and cover annual leave and sickness absence; PAM will endeavour to minimise travel where possible.
Hours/Working Week: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
* Conduct all aspects of health surveillance and fitness-for-work medicals/safety-critical medicals in line with client standards and requirements
* Drug and alcohol screening
* Ensure documentation is uploaded to OHIO in the relevant areas
* Store all data in line with Data Protection Principles
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
* Ensure KPIs are met and service delivery is consistent
* Monitor OHIO compliance to ensure information is correct and complete
* Ensure an excellent customer experience
* Maintain practices in line with company accreditations (ISO 9001, 27001, SEQOHS, RISQS, IIP)
* Ensure medical equipment is calibrated and safety tested
* Provide support to new team members
* Escalations are conducted appropriately
* Collaborate with all members of the OH Team
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
* Sports Science Qualification or similar; Occupational Health Technician experience delivering health screening/medicals is preferable but not essential
* Competent in client communication
* Highly organised and process-driven
* Ability to liaise with other departments and colleagues to achieve results
* Results-oriented and customer-focused
* IT literacy
* Effective communication skills
* Ability to collate, prepare and deliver wellbeing content
* Good organisation skills, able to meet deadlines and prioritise
* Desire to be part of a team delivering high-level professional services
* Understanding of confidentiality
* Good report writing skills
