This is a rare opportunity to lead a talented and multi-disciplinary communications function, covering press, policy, and social media - within a values-driven organisation that advocates nationally for its members.
What you'll do:
* Lead the development and execution of a fully integrated public relations strategy.
* Manage and mentor a team of experienced advisers (press, policy, and social media).
* Drive campaigns that influence policy and amplify the organisation’s voice across national, specialist, and digital media.
* Act as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership team on PR matters.
* Foster and grow strong relationships with key journalists, stakeholders, and media partners.
About you:
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public relations, must be within a regulated environment ideally within the healthcare, insurance, or professional services sectors.
* Proven ability to craft and implement strategic PR plans.
* Strong leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring others.
* Comfortable advising senior leaders and navigating high-profile or crisis situations.
* Confident communicator with exceptional writing and editing skills.
