Children Registered Manager Location : Leicester Job Types: Full time, Permanent Hours : 40 hours per week Salary: £60.000 per year Job Scope: We are looking to recruit a Children Registered Manager for our clients new long stay childrens home. As the Children Registered Manager, you will work with various professionals, parents, and carers to ensure that children and young people with diverse needs are supported through a person-centred approach. You will be responsible for leading and inspiring your team to provide the best possible care, helping children reach their full potential. The Children Registered Manager will oversee the running of the 2-bedroom home, working closely with Ofsted to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain high standards. Your role as the Children Registered Manager will involve recruiting and inducting a new team, delivering high-quality supervision, and building strong relationships with partner agencies and community organizations to improve outcomes for the children. You will also share on-call duties and may occasionally travel for meetings. Minimum of 2 years' experience in the past 5 years in a role relevant to residential childcare, with at least 1 year in a leadership position. Offer Process? * Cv over – 1st stage teams and then2nd stage f2f Urgency to fill ASAP Vacancy Close Date * Dan has 2 properties; this one has gone to planning and should have consent in the next 2 weeks. 2 bed EBD- not sure of the mix yet - M / F or M&F family run business, his business partner is his brother. his family has sept over 35 years in social care - and working with the LA, providing more transportation Dan spent last 2 years researching and working with a friend to open their home, so feels he did lots of research before starting project. they will both be very hands on Already has a consultant RI - who works 1 or 2 days per week and will stay on when RM in post company growth plans - one more home to be added in the next year or so, dual manager opportunity oncall expectations - directors are local so can be split career opportunities - dual manager opportunity opportunity to enhance qualifications - happy to fund further qualification if they benefit the home what will the team look like - RM, DM, 4 seniors and 4 rsw in total. As Registered Manager you will work with a range of professionals, parents and carers to ensure that our children and young people who have a varying level of needs are supported with a person-centred approach, helping them to develop to their full potential and through the next stage of their life journey. As Registered Manager you will lead, inspire, and motivate your team to hold the highest aspirations for our children and young people and oversee the running of our 2 bedroom home liaising closely with Ofsted to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence. We will actively support you in your role and provide you and your team with specialist training, development, and supervision. Some key responsibilities of your role as a Registered Manager will be; • Establishing a new long stay children's home for children and young people including the recruitment and induction of a new staff team. • Providing high quality supportive 1:1 and reflective supervision to direct reports. • Promoting and delivering the highest standards of safeguarding practice utilising existing processes and best practice to create a safe positive work and service environment. • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and maintain channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies. • Developing and maintaining effective networks, relationships, partnerships, and contacts to improve outcomes for children, young people and families. • To work closely with Ofsted to ensure we are operating a home that is deemed to be offering each child high quality care through effective leadership and management. Whilst a management qualification Level 5 would be great, we are open to those with experience in a management role within a residential/social care setting. • At least 2 years experience in the last 5 years of working in a position relevant to residential childcare and at least 1 years experience in a leadership role. • Creating an inclusive service, in terms of meeting the needs of the children and establishing a workforce that further enables an inclusive environment. • Knowledge and understanding of the OFSTED requirements. • Demonstrable experience of working with children with complex needs. • Experience of leading by example with the application of safeguarding practices and policies.
