There is a great opportunity for a fixed-term contract for a Ward Manager for Ward B4. We are looking for an influential and compassionate leader who is motivated to drive change and maintain the high standards of patient care the ward currently delivers.
The successful candidate will be supported by a designated Matron, Lead Nurse, and a strong team of Consultants, Therapists, and Pharmacists. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in acute medicine and care of the older person. The post holder must have a proven track record of commitment to service improvement.
The Ward Manager has a fundamental role in delivering high standards of nursing care, ensuring safe staffing, and creating an environment conducive to wellbeing, along with contributing to effective budget management.
Post holders are expected to participate fully in their personal development and review processes to acquire the skills necessary for effective and efficient role delivery.
The post holder will manage the day-to-day operations of the ward, ensuring patients receive excellent care, which can be evidenced through collected data. They will work closely with all members of the MDT to ensure collaborative working for the best patient outcomes.
Previous experience managing a large team and supporting clinical practice is essential. Additionally, experience managing a substantial budget with cost-effective management skills is required.
