About the Team You’ll join a supportive community adult social care team covering Bath and working with adults with a range of needs to promote independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes. The team values collaborative, strengths‑based practice and reflective working, with regular supervision and peer support. You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues in an environment that encourages learning, professional development and high‑quality, person‑centred practice.
About the Role As a Social Worker within Adult Social Care, you will play a key role in supporting adults to live as independently as possible, promoting wellbeing, safety and positive outcomes through strengths‑based practice. This opportunity is suitable for both newly qualified Social Workers completing their ASYE and experienced Social Workers. The role will be shaped according to your level of experience:

* Develop your confidence in assessment, decision‑making and care planning

You’ll need:
* A Degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification recognised by Social Work England)
* Registration with Social Work England (or working towards this for ASYE candidates).
* Experience (through placement or practice) of working with adults with a range of needs, including physical disabilities, learning disabilities or mental health needs
* Knowledge of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding duties.
* Ability to undertake or contribute to assessments, care planning and reviews.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work sensitively with individuals and families
* Confidence in working collaboratively with partners, including health colleagues and care providers
* Ability to manage competing demands and prioritise workload, with appropriate support
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
