The Meeting Room Support Engineer ensures smooth operation of all meeting and conference room technologies across the office.
A strong understanding of audio-visual systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a customer-first approach are essential for delivering reliable and professional meeting experiences.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide daily support for all meeting and conference room technologies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues with AV systems, video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams, Cisco), displays, and audio/video devices.
* Perform regular health checks and proactive monitoring of meeting room equipment.
* Support high-priority and executive meetings with on-site technical assistance and rapid issue resolution.
* Assist with physical setup and configuration for meetings, town halls, and internal events.
* Collaborate with IT, facilities, and vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and incident resolution.
* Maintain documentation of room configurations, known issues, and support procedures.
* Ensure meeting room technologies are standardized, updated, and aligned with IT policies.
* Work closely with the Events team to deliver support for Tesco Executive events.
* Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations.
* Deliver on-site support 5 days a week, with occasional out-of-hours or weekend support for planned activities/on-call rotas.

Required Skills
This role requires working from the office at least 4 out of 5 days each week.
Must-have technical expertise:
* Proficiency in video conferencing platforms: Microsoft Teams Rooms or Cisco Webex.
* Hands-on experience with AV hardware: displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, HDMI/USB-C extenders.
* Familiarity with AV control systems: Crestron, Logitech Tap, Poly, Cisco Room Kits.
* Basic networking knowledge: IP addressing, Wi-Fi connectivity, LAN setup, PoE.
* Troubleshooting skills for Windows and macOS devices.
* Understanding of room scheduling tools and calendar integrations (Outlook, Exchange).
* Use of ITSM/ticketing tools like Zendesk or Jira.
* Experience with firmware/software updates for AV devices.
* Ability to conduct routine room health checks and preventive maintenance.
* Managing room readiness before meetings and events.
* Supporting live and executive meetings with quick turnaround on issues.
* Ability to document technical procedures and known issues.
* Inventory handling and basic asset management.
Experience
* Hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting AV equipment (projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, control panels).
* Proficient in managing video conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Cisco.
* Experience providing live support for high-profile/executive meetings, with rapid issue resolution under pressure.
* Familiarity with room scheduling systems and integrated AV solutions (Crestron, Logitech Tap, Poly, Cisco Room Devices).
* Knowledge of basic networking and connectivity troubleshooting (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB-C).
