Job Description
We are looking for a Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for repairing various vehicles and transmission systems.
Responsibilities:
* Repair Automobiles, Trucks, Backhoes, Loaders and other motor vehicles
* Perform routine vehicle maintenance
* Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
* Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a mechanic
* Knowledge of shop equipment
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
* Deadline and detail-oriented
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Must have own tools
* Welding experience a plus

Primary Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair equipment using diagnostic tools appropriate to the equipment type
* Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures
* Complete all service reports and submit on a timely basis
* Proactively communicate with Equipment Manager concerning equipment and job-related projects
* Inspect and ensure safety devices are functional – such as back up alarms, fire extinguishers, seat belts, horns, etc.
* Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment
* Work more than 40 hours per week and overtime including some weekends
* Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction
Requirements:
* Must have a clean driving record
* High school graduate or equivalent
* Prefer completion of Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technology program from accredited vocational or technical school
* Prefer three years of experience in a related field
* Ability to properly diagnose and repair hydraulics, powertrain, electrical, etc.
* Read, understand and use service and operation manuals for reference
* Operate tools and equipment used to repair construction equipment
* FL CDL
* Pre-employment drug screening required
