My client is a well-regarded in-house firm. A rare new job vacancy has become available for an experienced final salary, defined benefit pensions administrator to join the team due to growth and increased work volumes/projects at a more senior level. The position is based in Edinburgh with a return to blended working.
In this role, you will manage a book of clients, carrying out full cycle administration for their defined benefit / final salary schemes. It is a technical role requiring you to handle all queries promptly to ensure first-class customer satisfaction. Client contact will be involved, allowing you to build relationships with clients. The role also demands excellent manual calculation skills. All activities must comply with company and FCA regulations and be accurately recorded in internal databases.
You will support senior management, less experienced colleagues, and contribute to training and mentoring where appropriate.
Candidates must have experience in defined benefit/final salary administration, either in a third-party or in-house environment. Expert knowledge of DB schemes and cradle-to-grave calculations is essential. Strong IT skills, especially in Excel, along with good time management and communication skills, are vital to succeed as client satisfaction is a priority.
