Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling to minimize loss exposure and negative impacts to the customer experience. Key responsibilities include utilizing a variety of systems such as Excel, SAS, SQL, Tableau, and other relational data bases to provide analytical support on strategies, ensure goals are met, and propose policy and procedural changes within segmentation structures to produce optimal results. Job expectations include evaluating data to assess potential fraud risk and create mitigation strategies.

This strategy execution analyst roles is responsible for transforming business requirements into actionable strategies, including designing, developing, coding, obtaining approval and executing strategic initiatives. This role requires hand on work with a variety of systems and tools, including but not limited to ICDP, PowerCurve, Excel, SAS, TOAD and Visio at an intermediate skill level. The analyst will provide analytical support to evaluate and optimize strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals. This position will participate in the rollout of enterprise wide programs and projects, with a focus on initiatives impacting the Consumer Credit Card Underwiting space. Responsibilities include conducting analysis, presenting findings and making data driven recommendations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast paced evolving environment. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment.

Responsibilities:

* Implements moderately complex solutions to address strategies goals, issues and risks, optimize efficiency, reduce variability, and improve controls, quality, and sustainability.
* Works directly with Line of Business partners to gather information needed to identify and implement solutions that resolve critical business challenges and opportunities.
* Establishes and implements a model for process improvement by applying process engineering best practices and delivering reusable technology solutions.
* Leverages analytics and critical thinking to solve complex business problems and translate issues into structured design oriented solutions with clearly defined business case benefits.
* Work closely with line of business, technology teams, and vendors to ensure requirements and functional design are translated accurately into working strategy designs, code and that test plans/scripts meet the business needs.
* Performs analysis of business objectives and priorities to design optimal solutions which can be deployed through managed platforms and decision engines
* Supports execution of large scale projects, such as platform conversions, new product launches or integrations for enhanced features and serves as a Subject Matter Expert
* Independently leads initiatives from the point of requirement gathering to production implementation
* Provides ongoing consultation support to Line of Business partners and constantly looks for improvement opportunities
* This is a Client Decisions Platform role and members of the team are often called upon to support change activities that occur during non-business hours. This will include some evenings, weekends and may include holidays depending on the severity of the issue and impact to customers and/or the business.
* Recommends ways to help the business achieve desired outcomes and make informed business decisions using data analysis outputs
* Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance
* Leads coordination of the production of product performance reports and updates for senior management

Required Qualifications:

* Five years of experience in a credit underwriting, strategies, analytics or related technology role
* Strong Knowledge of Consumer Credit Lending
* Ability to create and execute testing solutions (i.e. negative and positive test case scenarios)
* Strong analytical and logical reasoning ability
* Creative thinker capable of building new processes and solving complex problems
* Able to quickly comprehend business objectives and translate to business/system requirements to meet them
* Able to manage work to meet deadlines and manage multiple competing priorities effectively
* Self-starter with strong time management skills
* Excellent Communication (written and oral)
* Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience working with PowerCurve decision engine or similar rules engine/scripting solution (ex: ODM, Pega Systems etc.)
* SQL, SAS, Python or other programming experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
* General understanding of system integration protocols
* Experience in Agile Delivery (Product Owner, Product Manager)
* Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
* Knowledge of Hadoop, TOAD, SAS & Bacardi or similar
* Project Management experience
* Proven technical ability as demonstrated through related work experience
* Experience with Bank of America's Enterprise Change Policy and procedures

Minimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent
