Who are you?
We are seeking BANK Care Assistants who share our passion for providing the best possible care for our residents and who can demonstrate professionalism and energy in the home.
We are looking for somebody who:
* Supports our commitment to providing the best possible care for our residents and our ability to make them feel like family within a loving home. Values the small things which are important to each of our residents.
* Would ideally be NVQ/QCF 2 qualified in Health & Social Care, but this is not a deal breaker. Training is provided. The key is that you share our values.
* Has good communication skills, is a team player, is reliable and committed, and has a natural affinity to older people.
What will I be doing?
* Providing personal care to clients in a person-centred way, respecting individual choices.
* Providing additional care and support as required when a client is unwell or towards end of life.
* Acting as a Key-worker to a number of clients.
* Using knowledge and experience to support the nurses in writing and reviewing care plans.
* Documenting care given, recording changes, and reporting to the person in charge of the shift.
* Providing support and advice to residents’ families and friends, while maintaining confidentiality.
* Working with the Activities Team to develop group and 1:1 activities that are engaging and of interest to residents.
* Liaising with other agencies as required in the interests of the resident (e.g., GP, Social Services, Occupational Therapist).
