Description
Can you help support and mentor young people and give them insight into policing?
Derbyshire Constabulary is looking for a voluntary Cadet Leader to work with our cadets as they begin their journey into policing.
You will provide support and coaching in areas such as police procedure, criminal law, crime prevention, as well as participating in team-building activities and local community events.
Working closely with the cadets and cadet team, you will be a vital member of the team, providing insight into the many aspects of policing, raising awareness of the police's role in the community, and helping develop their character.
You should have previous experience working with volunteers, young people, or youth groups. Good organisational skills and the ability to motivate a team of young people to achieve objectives are essential.
Previous experience or qualifications in areas such as First Aid, sports, mountaineering, or outdoor pursuits would be advantageous but are not required.
If you can volunteer for 4 hours per week to support and mentor our cadets, please read more about the role on our job description page.
As a Police Support Volunteer, you'll contribute to the organisation's success by fostering stronger community-police relationships. Use your spare time to make a meaningful difference.
