* Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering

The Role
We are seeking a leader who exemplifies safety and can engage others to prioritize health and safety. The successful candidate will lead the shift team in supporting and optimizing engineering resources for maintenance of capital equipment, buildings, and utilities, aiming for continuous improvement in cost and quality.
* Coordinate with other departments to prioritize engineering workload to meet customer requirements.
* Perform breakdown repairs and document Root Cause analysis for continuous improvement.
* Complete breakdown reports and shift logs, documenting issues impacting site or department performance.
* Escalate breakdowns following procedures.
* Carry out planned maintenance activities.
* Manage contractors, including inductions, permit issuing, and monitoring.
* Participate in meetings as required.
* Assist with annual overhaul planning.
* Maintain workshop standards, complete department check sheets and audits.
* Conduct job, toolbox, and locker audits.
* Support other engineering shift activities such as return to works and accident investigations.
