We are working with a high-performing, independent healthcare communications agency to recruit an experienced Associate Scientific Director to join their growing medical communications team.
This role is ideal for a senior scientific professional who enjoys combining hands-on content leadership with strategic thinking, client partnership and team development.
The Role
As Associate Scientific Director, you will:
* Provide senior scientific leadership across multiple accounts and therapy areas
* Lead the development of high-quality, compliant medical communications content
* Act as a strategic partner to clients, contributing to scientific direction and long-term planning
* Review and guide complex scientific materials across publications, medical affairs and commercial projects
* Mentor and develop junior and mid-level writers, setting best practice and quality standards
* Collaborate closely with account, strategy and creative teams in a fast-paced agency environment
About You
You will bring:
* Significant experience in medical/scientific communications (agency background essential)
* Proven ability to lead scientific content and advise clients at a senior level
* Strong understanding of compliance, publication standards and review processes
* Experience line-managing or mentoring writers
* Confidence working in a hybrid London-based role
