Smart Education is recruiting Teaching Assistants to work within a specialist primary SEND setting where all pupils have an Education, Health and Care Plan and require highly personalised support. Pupils in this environment have a range of complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions and other communication or learning differences, and benefit from a structured, nurturing approach tailored to their individual needs.

Job Requirements:
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
• Proven experience supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs in a school setting
• Confidence managing challenging behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
• Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced Child & Adult Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain)
• Valid passport
• Ability to provide 24 months of employer or academic references
Role Responsibilities:
• Provide in‑class, small‑group and 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs
• Assist with implementing individual learning and behaviour support plans
• Promote positive behaviour, social interaction and engagement
• Encourage independence, communication and confidence
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
