The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide overall leadership and strategic direction, ensuring our long-term success, financial sustainability, and delivery of outstanding patient care.
The COO will oversee all aspects of the business, spanning clinical governance, workforce and culture, finance, and stakeholder engagement, working alongside the Founding Directors to operationalise strategy, strengthen compliance, and deliver continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive business growth and service expansion, identifying new opportunities and partnerships.
· Ensure regulatory compliance, including CQC standards, infection control, and health & safety.
· Oversee governance frameworks, risk management, and patient safety.
· Provide inspirational leadership to our multi-disciplinary workforce, embedding a culture of excellence, accountability, and support.
· Drive financial performance, forecasting, and cost management.
· Strengthen external relationships and champion our reputation as a centre of excellence.
About You
We are looking for a dynamic and commercially astute leader with a proven track record of senior healthcare management. You will bring:
· Significant leadership experience (10+ years) in healthcare, with ophthalmology or surgical/clinical services.
· Strong understanding of CQC compliance and healthcare governance.
· Demonstrable business growth and operational excellence experience.
· Commercial acumen with P&L responsibility.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
· Master's degree or equivalent senior-level qualification.

Pay: £50,000.00-£100,000.00 per year
