We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Receptionist to join our team at The Veterinary Hospital - Gorleston
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a share of the Saturday rota (likely 2 in 7), which can be discussed at the interview.
As a Head Receptionist, you will provide friendly and efficient service to our clients and their animals. Our team is professional and personable, working in a busy and challenging environment, making each day varied and interesting.
Your duties will include answering phones, responding to emails, booking appointments, registering new clients, completing insurance forms, dispensing medications, taking payments, and creating a warm, welcoming experience for clients. Additionally, you will manage the reception team, staff/holiday rotas, and recruitment.
We seek someone with excellent communication and organizational skills, strong leadership abilities, and experience managing teams is highly beneficial. Previous receptionist or customer-facing experience is essential, and veterinary industry experience is a plus.
You should remain calm under pressure and show empathy, whether sharing in a puppy's first visit or comforting a client receiving bad news.
As a receptionist, you will have access to our Client Care Hub, a dedicated space on our Knowledge Hub with client care resources. You will be invited to support sessions within your first few weeks, where you'll meet a Learning Partner and start your training journey. Further sessions can be attended at any time over the next six months for ongoing support, alongside in-practice training.
The salary for this role is £28,000, depending on experience (pro-rata).
