The Operational Regulatory Response Lead is crucial in building confidence and trust with the Environment Agency and enabling them to carry out their duties. This role requires a proactive, organised and detail-focused individual with a strong understanding of environmental regulation and operational processes. You'll work closely with administrative, operational and legal teams to coordinate responses to Environment Agency (EA) within expect ed dea dlines. You will en sure that r esponses appropria tely addr ess the ask and are accur ate, credibl e and c onsistent, fo llowing se t g ove rnance pr ocedures. S108’s and R61’s response coordination Set ting r esponse groups u p for success w ith clear communica tion on r equire ments and d eadlines Working across the business to gather and coordinate requested information Sen se che cking suppl ied infor mation along side s u bject ma tter expe rts Taking a r isk base d approach to esc alation Cr eating consistency acros s respo nses with templat es and st andard working p ractices Continuous impro vement of p rocesses based on feedback Benchmarking and identification of best practice with other water companies Dat a t rac king and t rend analys i s Str ucture d capture of key inform ation /data on request s Analysi s of tren ds, pa tterns and volum es Corpor ate report ing and c ommunica tion of regu latory risk B uilding t rust with our re gulators and stak eholders C ommun icating ah ead of ti me where an e xtension is require d or clari fication i s needed Pro viding clea r, well-structured and co nsistent res ponses A dheri ng to a greed deadl ines Buildi ng cred ibili ty and tr ust through tra nspa rency What does it take to be successful? We're looking for someone who can build strong stakeholder relationships while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience working within environmental regulation or operational compliance Experience of working to standards, governance processes, and quality assurance frameworks Knowledge of Environment Agency processes, including S108 and R61 requests Experience producing high-quality written reports, responses, and communications Experience working collaboratively across operational and corporate teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels Strong influencing skills and ability to drive alignment towards common goals Comfortable working in ambiguous situations while maintaining focus on key priorities Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Collaborative and proactive approach to problem-solving Inclusion at Anglian Water At Anglian Water, we're committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels they belong.
