Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a care home or home care setting, assisting them with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be able to follow care plans, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in daily activities.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
* Document care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
* Drive to various locations if required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation of clients.
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and review individual care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
* Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with residents and staff.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and reporting purposes are advantageous.
* A full driving licence is desirable for those required to travel between locations.
* A genuine passion for helping others and a commitment to providing excellent patient care is essential.
