Job Description
This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package and the opportunity to work with a forward thinking market leader.
1. Assisting with the management of financial data and the designing of solutions for data flows and reporting
2. Preparing and posting of month end journals and assisting with monthly ledger closure processes
3. Timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including the fixed asset register
4. Monthly management accounts preparation (internal and external reporting to Group)
5. Producing and consolidating company budget and forecasting
6. Liaising with and building relationships with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information flow
7. Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts as well as information for the statutory auditors and group tax department
8. Provision of management information to support financial and operational management
9. Assisting the Finance Team to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies in all finance functions, including audit, fixed assets, payroll, purchase and sales ledger, etc.
Qualifications
To apply for the role of Financial Accountant you will possess the following skills:
10. Be a full or part qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
11. Have proven experience in accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliation and budgeting/forecasting
12. Be comfortable working from your own initiative as well as within a team, sharing knowledge and improvement ideas
13. Have an enquiring approach with a real desire to seek out new methods that will allow more efficient provision of accurate financial data
14. Possess excellent communication skills, as you will be relating to operational and financial staff at all levels
15. Be proficient in using Microsoft Office and accounts software with strong attention to detail
16. Experience with SAP / S4HANA [beneficial, not essential]
