Job Description
3. Produce and interpret organisational KPIs, delivering clear monthly and quarterly performance insight.
4. Track weekly sales and margin performance, identifying trends, variances, and commercial impacts.
5. Own monthly cost centre reporting, providing meaningful commentary to strengthen cost control and accountability.
6. Compile monthly management accounts and senior-level analysis to support informed decision‑making.
7. Create detailed quarterly reporting packs to enable strategic review and performance assessment.
8. Review payroll and people‑related costs to inform forecasting and workforce planning.
9. Evaluate capital investment proposals and perform post‑investment review analysis.
10. Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform pricing, positioning, and commercial strategy.
11. Support the statutory accounts process, including audit schedules and coordination with external auditors.
12. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and cross‑business projects, embedding Finance within wider business initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
13. A strong background in accounting or finance, ideally within the retail/ FMCG industry.
14. Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
15. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
16. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
17. The ability to work effectively within a team and collaborate across departments.
18. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
19. A proactive attitude towards improving financial processes and systems.
