They support young people and adults with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities to achieve their aspirations and live as independently as possible.We are now looking for a Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated and multidisciplinary team in the Kingston region.
About the Role
You will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse communication needs, including those with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. Working collaboratively with teaching staff and therapists, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred interventions across both universal and specialist levels.Key responsibilities include:
1. Assessing and supporting students' communication and swallowing needs
2. Delivering individual and group therapy sessions
3. Supporting the development of a "total communication" environment
4. Providing guidance, training and coaching to staff
5. Contributing to multidisciplinary working within Integrated Services
About You
We are looking for a creative and passionate therapist who
6. Holds a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
7. Is HCPC registered
8. Has experience (or strong interest) in working with people with learning disabilities and/or autism
9. Is committed to person-centred, functional, and innovative practice
10. Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
