Sales Assistant – Haskins Furniture, Shepton Mallet

We're a family-run business specialising in quality furniture and renowned brands, and we're committed to delivering an experience that goes above and beyond for our customers.
What you'll do:
* Greet and advise customers across upholstery, dining, and bedroom departments
* Support customers through their buying journey—before, during, and after the sale
* Place orders accurately on our system, capturing all customer requirements
* Stay up to date on product knowledge, offers, and lead times
* Maintain a tidy, beautifully presented showroom with up-to-date POS and brochures
* Organise customer deliveries and coordinate with the warehouse team
* Help resolve minor service issues and escalate when needed
* Work as part of a friendly, supportive team to create a seamless customer experience
What we're looking for:
* A genuine people-person with excellent customer service skills
* Punctual, reliable, and professional
* Confident using basic IT and Microsoft Office
* Willingness to learn and grow your product knowledge
* Previous retail or sales experience is a bonus—but not essential; training will be provided
* A team player who enjoys a collaborative, hands-on environment
Working hours:
* 35 hours/week over 5 days, including weekends on a rota
* Start: 9:30am | Finish: 5:00pm (Sundays 10:00am – 4:00pm)
* Part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate
