Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions. The Role: The Infotainment Engineer is responsible for defining system requirements and specifications for state-of-the-art infotainment and multimedia features. The role requires a highly motivated and hands-on team player with an exceptional attention to detail. The role will suit an Engineer who has the ability to quickly develop skills in new areas and liaise with other engineers within a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities: The Cockpit Electronics team is responsible for the specification, test and delivery of infotainment systems, displays, audio systems and interior switches. The responsibilities of the Infotainment Engineer will include the following: Write detailed software requirements and specifications Lead integration of infotainment system features with the overall vehicle architecture. Good understanding of various electronic systems within the vehicle such as Infotainment, Instrument cluster etc. Manage the development of multiple hardware and software suppliers to deliver infotainment features on time, on cost, and within quality and functional specifications Proficient in Software Requirement creation Experience in System Engineering (Electronic Systems and Controls) Good knowledge of software development lifecycles. Hands-on experience with requirement management tools such as DOORs and Jama. Hands-on experience with bug or task tracking tools such as Jira. Knowledge of resolving infotainment issues on current / series production vehicles Knowledge / Experience: Experience in systems engineering, or an electronics role; ideally within the automotive industry. Experience of the Systems Development Lifecycle (V Model); writing system requirements, defining test cases and writing test procedures. Clear and concise communication skills. Knowledge of functional safety (ISO-26262), legislation is appreciated. Efficient time management.
