Overview
Are you ready to lead strategic procurement initiatives that drive real impact across IT and digital transformation? We’re looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to join our Procurement Team that support our Chief Information and Digital Office (CIDO) team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of IT procurement and play a key role in delivering major change programmes.
The responsibilities are to lead and manage end-to-end IT procurement activities across a range of high-profile projects as well as business as usual procurement activities. You will ensure products and services are sourced cost-effectively, and in line with policy and governance.
Also own the full procurement lifecycle – from RFI/RFP through to contract negotiation and supplier management whilst building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and major suppliers. There may be time where broader support is needed on functional initiatives beyond CIDO when required.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end IT procurement activities for high-profile projects and BAU procurement. Ensure sourcing is cost-effective and compliant with policy and governance. Own the full procurement lifecycle from RFI/RFP to contract negotiation and supplier management. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and major suppliers. Provide broader support on functional initiatives beyond CIDO when required.

Location
Location: Coventry with a team-led hybrid approach and at least 1 day a week in the Coventry office.
About you
We’re looking for someone who can lead effective end-to-end procurement processes on a project-by-project basis.
To be successful in this role
Essential
* Significant experience of stakeholder management
* Deep understanding of the IT categories and the ability to leverage market insights to deliver value
* Demonstrable experience with category planning tools and techniques
* Strong negotiation skills and experience developing and executing negotiation strategies
* Highly proficient with MS Office
Desirable
* Understanding of Coventry’s commercial, member and regulatory objectives and how these should drive procurement activities
