Key Responsibilities:
* Safely drive a 24-foot Box Truck in compliance with safety and DOT regulations.
* Load and unload materials (e.g., doors) at job sites, ensuring no damage occurs.
* Assist customers with the placement of materials at their locations.
* Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
* Identify and minimize safety hazards.
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report discrepancies.
* Maintain accurate vehicle records and logs.
* Secure loads with protective devices to prevent shifting or damage.
* Verify the correct materials and quantities are being delivered.
* Adhere to all driving laws and regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Valid Class B CDL license.
* Clean driving record.
* Ability to meet USDOT physical regulations.
* Strong ability to follow written and oral instructions.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting laws, rules, and regulations.
* Skilled in reading maps and navigating to job sites efficiently.
* Previous experience with doors, lumber, or building supplies is a plus.
* Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
* At least one year of driving experience preferred.
* High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Demands:
* Regularly requires standing, walking, sitting, talking, and hearing.
* Frequent use of hands to handle or feel, and reach with arms throughout the day.
* Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
