Clinical Development Fellowship (CDF) Older Adult Psychiatry
FULL TIME (40 hours per week)
For a period of 12 months (fixed term)
Salary Scale - £45,504 - £71,550 per annum
Applications for are invited from trainee doctors having recently completed or are about to finish either UK Foundation Programmes or Core Psychiatry Training to apply for the position of Clinical Development Fellow (CDF) in Old Age Psychiatry.
This exciting opportunity offers a 12 month post working in all psychiatry within the Community Mental Health Team at Stirling Community Hospital. In addition, CDF’s will have 8 hours per week of development time, some of which may comprise in-house training, with the remaining period distributed between outpatient clinical work.
The appointment will be on a full-time basis and remuneration will be determined by the pay and conditions of hospital medical and dental staff (NHS Circular: PCS (DD) 2024/01).

The post-holder would support their Consultant and multi-disciplinary colleagues in providing excellent service to users. The post will also assist the applicant to develop their own skills and consider career progression.
We are in an exciting place with regards to Older Adult Psychiatry in Forth Valley. Within the next 3 years we will be able to evidence we have the best mental health services in Scotland. To support this goal our board recently invested in new Consultant posts, so that we will be the best resourced board for Older Adult Psychiatry Consultants in the country.
