This is a true supervisory role — suited to an experienced Senior AP / Purchase Ledger Supervisor who wants responsibility, influence, and the chance to bring structure and consistency to a busy AP function.
The Opportunity As Purchase Ledger Supervisor, youll be responsible for the smooth running of the purchase ledger, supervising a small team and acting as the go-to person for all AP matters.
Youll remain hands-on, while also setting standards, improving processes, and ensuring deadlines are met.
Key responsibilities include: Supervising and supporting the Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable team Ensuring timely and accurate processing of ~2,500 invoices per month Reviewing and approving payment runs Acting as the escalation point for supplier queries Providing accurate data for weekly cash flow reporting Identifying and implementing process improvements Maintaining strong controls and consistency across the ledger Working within an established ERP system About You This role will suit a Purchase Ledger Supervisor or Senior AP who: Has proven experience supervising an AP / Purchase Ledger function Is confident managing different experience levels within a team Enjoys improving processes and raising standards Is organised, resilient, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Has solid Excel and general IT skills Takes a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach This role is not suitable for candidates without supervisory responsibility.
