Join a fast-paced, high-energy airside operation as an HGV Class 2 Driver, working at the heart of major UK airports. Youll play a crucial role in ensuring aircraft are fully catered, stocked, and ready for departure, safely, efficiently, and on time.
Location Luton (Airside Operations)
Job Type Full Time, Ongoing
Shifts & Hours:
* Average 12-hour shifts (11.5 hours paid)
* Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
* Operations run 7 days a week, including public holidays
Start Times:
* AM shift 05:30am 13:30pm
* AM Shift 05:30am - 17:30pm
* PM shift 13:00pm - 21:30pm
4 on / 4 off
Break Structure:
1st break unpaid
2nd break paid
Pay Rates:£19.50 - £21.45 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles airside
* Operating catering and high-loader vehicles in restricted airport zones
* Loading and unloading catering equipment in line with aircraft specifications
* Delivering food, beverages, and equipment directly to aircraft
* Completing vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
* Ensuring all deliveries meet strict aviation safety and timing requirements
* Maintaining compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Aviation Security regulations
* Working closely with airside teams and flight crew
Essential Requirements:
* Valid UK HGV Category C (Class 2) licence
* Digital Tachograph card
* Maximum of 6 minor penalty points
* Previous Class 2 driving experience required
* Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends and public holidays
* Strong awareness of safety in a high-risk, time-sensitive environment
* Willingness to undergo full airside xsngvjr security clearance
