Job title: Management Accountant (East Region) – Permanent, Full-time. Salary: £39,387 - £42,339 per year (FTE).

Location: East Region (travel to academies as required).
Responsibilities
* In this role, you will support a group of academies in the East region, travel to academies to provide support and cover absence when required, and attend meetings.
* You will support the regional finance partners and academies in the production of management accounts, complete monthly reforecast reconciliations between budgets and accounting software, support on revenue projects, and monitor and process academy income receipts.
* You will support contract management, including the preparation of business cases for procurement of items and reviewing and updating contract registers to ensure procurement timelines are adhered to.
* You will prepare payroll reconciliations as required for cover during absence, process payroll journals, and input payroll information into the control account reconciliations.

About you
We are looking for a candidate with professional qualification in accounting CCAB or equivalent experience ideally within an educational setting. You will have management experience of working in a large complex organisation which operates across multiple sites.
Up to date knowledge of accountancy and professional codes of practice is essential as this role will provide guidance and support to a range of stakeholders to ensure that the Trust's finance policies and procedures are consistently applied.
You will have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills to conduct financial reporting and analysis. You will manage your own workload, take initiative as required and deliver high quality work under pressure to meet expectations and deadlines.
