Due to maternity cover an established Blackburn business is looking to recruit a Accounts Assistant.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will support a broad range of accounting and finance activities and play an important part in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
This position is ideal for someone with a positive attitude, strong attention to detail and a desire to develop within a finance function. Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment is preferred, but attitude and aptitude are key.
Key Responsibilities
1. Monitoring an in-house sales invoicing system, including raising invoices, credit notes and amendments
2. Liaising with franchisees and responding to queries
3. Managing accounts payable across multiple entities
4. Reconciling supplier statements and maintaining accurate records
5. Preparing supplier payment runs to agreed deadlines
6. Posting bank receipts and payments (Sage 200)
7. Assisting with the preparation of financial information for the wider finance team
8. Handling telephone and email queries in a professional and timely manner
