Overview
We are currently seeking a Facilities Supervisor, who will support the function of the facilities services provided to Portree & Broadford Hospital and local Health Centres in Skye.
Responsibilities
* Ensure high standards of service and cleanliness in line with local infection control policies, Covid‑19 guidance, NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification, Food, Fluid and Nutritional Care Standards and Waste Regulations.
* Supervise all services provided by the facilities team, including catering and domestic roles.
* Support the Support Manager in ensuring policies and procedures are managed and meet legislation, daily supervision and management of the team and operational services, management of core and role training, and authorise and complete Scottish Standard time system.
* Cover all NHS Sites in the local geographical area as required, using the provided fleet vehicle; a driving licence is essential.
* Work 36 hours a week in a 7‑day rota, with hours 0700‑1900, including weekend work and alternative shift patterns to cover absences or leave.
Working hours and pay
36 hour post covering a 7‑day rota; hours 0700‑1900 with weekend work. Pay £15.50 per hour, with attractive weekend premium rates.
Training and induction
Full comprehensive induction and training package provided.
Eligibility
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for this role.
