What will I be doing?
As a Skilled Fitter, you will be working on heavy vehicles, supporting regular maintenance activities as part of a specialist team. You will be using a variety of specialist tools and equipment and will be someone that enjoys hands-on work. Our client is open to any previous engineering background, providing you are practical and solutions driven with a passion for hands on engineering work.
You will be working on a rotating shift pattern, of earlies and lates. The depot operates 24/7, 365 days a year. Candidates therefore must be flexible on working hours and able to commit to their rosters 4-6 weeks in advance. Weekend work may arise – this is paid at an enhanced rate and Sundays are optional.

Additional Process Requirements
6. Must complete a criminal convictions questionnaire as part of the application process
7. Be able to pass a basic DBS
8. Be able to pass a Drugs & Alcohol test
9. Be able to pass a full rail medical – this will include checks on eyesight, hearing, mobility, blood pressure and general health
10. Provide your Right to Work documents before deployment
