Night Hospital Role
Committed to their patients, clients and team, these values underpin everything this practice does. They guide the delivery of outstanding patient care, ensure an excellent client experience and foster a supportive, rewarding workplace for colleagues.
The practice is currently seeking a confident and experienced veterinary surgeon to join its friendly team. They are looking for someone who shares their values and enjoys working collaboratively in a positive and supportive environment.
This is a sole-charge night hospital role, so prior experience is essential. The successful candidate will become an integral part of the 24-hour clinic, working within the hospital night team and benefiting from a varied and stimulating caseload, balanced with generous time off to pursue interests outside of work. A typical rota involves working five nights every three weeks, caring for hospital inpatients and managing out-of-hours emergency and critical care cases. Throughout each shift, the night vet is supported by a skilled and dedicated nursing team.
The practice strives to provide gold‑standard care and offers an exciting and diverse caseload that supports ongoing clinical development. The role provides access to the full range of knowledge, expertise and equipment available, including advanced diagnostic imaging with a CT scanner, Doppler echocardiography, flexible and rigid endoscopy, direct digital radiography, ultrasound scanners, dental radiography, electrocautery, laparoscopy and advanced anaesthesia equipment. A competitive salary will be discussed at interview.
The practice is located in a beautiful area, close to both the Peak District and the Lake District. Excellent transport links make commuting easy, with the vibrant city of Manchester just a short train journey away.
