Night Care Assistant : Mawdesley
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team on nights at Stocks Hall Mawdesley. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the comfort and well-being of each individual. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to following care plans, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Duties
1. Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
3. Help with meal preparation and feeding as necessary, promoting nutritional health.
4. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents’ conditions to senior staff.
5. Follow individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, ensuring personalised support.
6. Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to enhance their quality of life.
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the care home.
8. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues to foster a supportive atmosphere.
9. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes as required.
Qualifications
10. Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
11. Strong English language skills for effective communication with residents and team members.
12. Basic IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software.
13. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and their families.
14. A caring attitude, patience, and empathy towards individuals in need of support.
15. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as required by the service needs.
