We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Support Practitioner (Level 2 or Level 3 qualified) to join a friendly and supportive mainstream primary school nursery in Chelmsford from September. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young children in their early years development.
The Role
* Support children within the nursery/EYFS setting, working alongside the class teacher and EYFS team
* Provide 1:1 and small‑group support, including for children with additional or emerging needs
* Deliver play‑based and sensory learning activities in line with the EYFS framework
* Support children with routines, transitions, personal care, and emotional regulation
* Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years
* Has experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
* Is warm, patient, and nurturing with a good understanding of early child development
* Confident supporting children with varying needs and abilities
* A reliable team player committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
