Associate Solicitor – Dispute Resolution
Location: Brighton – Sussex Hybrid/Flexible working available.
Working Hours: Full-time (9:15 am - 5:15 pm)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Solicitor (2-5 years PQE) to join a highly regarded Dispute Resolution team in Brighton. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of complex and high-value disputes while developing strong client relationships and advancing your career in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a varied caseload of commercial dispute resolution matters, including:
o Professional negligence claims
o Banking and finance litigation
o Contractual and commercial disputes
o Shareholder disputes
o Defamation
o Judicial review
o Contentious insolvency
* Work closely with clients, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice
* Supervise and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
* Contribute to business development initiatives, including seminars, articles and client pitches
* Ensure compliance with internal systems, procedures and financial targets
Requirements
* 2-5 years PQE in commercial dispute resolution, ideally with experience in professional negligence
* Strong understanding of contractual and tortious principles, remedies and Civil Procedure Rules
* Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage client relationships and deliver exceptional client care
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to business development
* Competent IT skills, including case management systems and Microsoft Office
